It's not a petting zoo per se because you aren't in the same enclosure with animals for full contact, but the creatures are tame and love people because they know we provide food and scratches.

Visitors are welcome to bring lettuce or celery only to feed the animals. There is an environmental education center, picnic tables, hiking trails, and the beautiful Jewel Lake. Little Farm is open daily from 8:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m., free of charge. I had a nice visit I look forward to returning.

Hours are 8:30am-4:30pm daily. Little Farm is within Tilden Park, a huge nature area that you must drive around to get places. Once in the park, there are signs everywhere so it's easy to find Little Farm. From Highway 24, exit at Fish Ranch Rd and head north on Fish Ranch Rd. Turn right on Grizzly Peak Blvd.

Berkeley’s Little Farm is open for reservation from February 18 through June 26. After which time, walk-ins are welcome. Once you get there, this working farm is fantastic and free. The park’s vintage merry-go-round is also spinning again, after being taken over by new management.
