My son and I took a road trip to Leland to scour the sandy bottoms of Lake Michigan and sifting through sand with a colander on the hunt for the coveted Leland Blue Stones. We spent 4 hours in the chilly waters slapped around by the waves but it did not deter us from bringing up buckets of sand from the bottom and sifting through a colander.
