Lake Brittle is located just east of Warrenton and only thirty miles from the Beltway. The lake’s average depth is about seven feet, and it has a maximum depth of 25 feet near the spillway tower. Lake Brittle supports a warmwater fish community including Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Redear Sunfish, Black Crappie and Channel Catfish.

Nice little paved trail maintained by Fauquier County. It's 0.5 miles and has doggy poop bags as well as a trash can to dispose of trash. Plenty of trees for shade and parking is right across from it that is shared with the Lake for fishing. Houses run next to it, so not totally isolated. Hours are dawn until dusk.
