The fuel delivery pipe is made with dampers to insulate from pulsation. Portions of the dampers may harden over time and become brittle, developing cracks that can leak fuel. Jun 27, 2018 · DETROIT — Toyota's Lexus luxury brand is recalling about 121,000 cars worldwide because of fuel leaks in the engine that can cause fires. The recall covers certain 2006 through 2013 IS350 cars, as well as the 2010 through 2014 IS350C, and the 2007 through 2011 GS350 and GS450h. All have 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engines.

Oct 15, 2014 · The issue concerns the fuel delivery pipe which feeds fuel to the engine’s fuel injectors. Lexus has found that some pipes may have been produced with particles of the plating on the surface of the gasket seating where the fuel pressure sensor is located. This may cause the gasket seating to degrade between the fuel pressure sensor and the fuel delivery pipe, creating the risk of a leak.
