Jun 26, 2018 · It sounds frustrating, but computer builders, like Lenovo, are at the mercy of their suppliers. They get promised dates from suppliers and they pass them along to customers. To be fair, Lenovo's suppliers provide components that are made from many parts. There suppliers can also have delays. As you can guess, you are at the end of that chain.

Delays delays. Purchased an X1 extreme gen 2 Lenovo laptop was meant to take 2 weeks to shipping but after 2 weeks they delay it by another 3 weeks!? Could they have not told me at the beginning that their supply chain is short on parts. I contacted customer services and they haven't offered any compensation for the delay.
