On the way to Kalalau lookout is this two room museum , right next to Kokee lodge and Kokee cafeteria, with picnic tables outside. Drivers maneuver their cars in the parking lot, just ahead of the scattering bunches of rooster and chickens prancing their stuff! Inside is information on hiking conditions and emergency numbers.

This is a small museum located in Kokee State Park on Rt. 550 . . . . just before you reach Pu'u o Kila Lookout. It is well worth a visit. They have a "donation only" policy and you will learn much about the history of Hawaii and the early inhabitants. They also have a small gift shop with post cards, etc.
