Treat your art like work. Here's the boring but necessary part. First, keep regular hours. Schedule your studio time and treat it like a job. Don't answer the phone or check your email. Just work. Second, have a plan. Literally. I have an excel spreadsheet that I use to help me set deadlines and goals.

Set hours that you’re in your studio. Make it understood to the people you live with that during this time you’re not to be disturbed, and make sure everyone knows those hours and respects them, even if you start with just one hour a week. Practice conscious decision-making. Conscious decision-making is simply the art of owning your choices.

Keeping an irregular or undisciplined schedule has no upside whatsoever, especially if there are significant gaps between the times you make art. Drawing for 5 hours is much better than 1-2 and you’ll see improvements quicker which will then impact your confidence too. Slowly Increase Drawing Time

We are creating the artist not the art. At some point we need to stop seeing ourselves as creating art, but realize that we are instead creating ourselves as an artist. After all, why are we creating all of this art in the first place? We are confusing the process with the product. Our artwork is the by-product of the creative learning process ...

The subject of this thread is about delaying the reopening of CM on Nov 1. Obviously (but not obvious enough for some apparently) this is about reopening to foreign arrivals, because it is already open for domestic. Expand. As part of the opening curfew rules will be relaxed in Chiang Mai.
