the burndown in JIRA isn't a burndown, it's "stepped" and in turn misses the key component of a burndown, and that is the ability to rapidly respond as needed (if a team has a velocity of 24 - thinking that an "8" doesn't affect a burndown till it is a "0", is just not operable.)
