Lately I've been noticing a significant decrease in Bandas as well as overly loud stereos on and around the beach. I mentioned it to a very well-connected friend of mine and she stated that a great deal of progress has been made in working with the city to curtail the excessive noise around the beaches.

And they're there for 3 or 4 hours almost everyday. Not Mariachi trios or quartets but a couple of trumpets, bass drum, snare drum, tuba, maybe even a trombone and a singer. I'm sure there are a number of people who liked the music they were putting out but we found them obnoxious and intrusive.
