    The glazed pieces are fired to cone 10 using either a gas or wood kiln. Some of my most recent work focuses on firing porcelain using crystalline glazes. In the firing process, the pieces are taken to a high temperature and then the temperature is dropped and held for four hours.

    The glazed pieces are then loaded into our 78 cubic foot shuttle kiln and fired using propane gas to approximately 2350 degrees for 13 hours. After allowing the kiln to cool for 24 hours, we unload the 350-400 pots per firing and get them ready for our customers.
