The Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience Program is composed of 300 hours of practical experience for pharmacy students, including 120 hours in a community pharmacy and 120 hours in a hospital pharmacy. The primary goal of the IPPE is to provide the student with experience in the drug distribution activities of the pharmacist.

This IPPE (24 hours) uses a layered learning model to expose students to how telepharmacy works and allow for them to engage in supervised clinical activities. IPPE Duration: Each IPPE rotation is 4 weeks long and requires a minimum of 160 clock hours. The total clock hours required for both IPPE rotations is 320 hours. IPPE Grading: Students receive credit or no credit. There is no letter grade given for IPPEs. IPPE Site Requirements: All documentation needs to be uploaded into CORE ELMS.
