    IUGR at 38 weeks. I have been having growth ultrasounds to make sure my baby doesn't grow too big as my last had shoulder dystocia. This is my third baby and apparently he is small at 38 weeks he is measuring 5lbs 11oz. The dr said this is 6% on the charts and when they fall below 10% they usually prefer to induce as my placenta could be failing.

    With my first little girl the IUGR wasn't picked up until 38 weeks, she was delivered the next day by emergency Caesarian she was just under 4 lb she's 5 now. I was scanned fortnightly with my second daughter, I was induced at 38+5 and had a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean section) she was 5lb 1 and she's nearly 3 now.
