I have a different take on Epidural--The purpose of an epidural is pain relief but possible effects on mon is Hypotension,Headache, Slow progress of labour, Fever and on the baby leads of fetal heart abnormalities. Possible effect on labour is increased instrumental delivery & needs monitoring.
