The 2nd Annual Research Conference of the SFI-funded Irish Drug Delivery Network (IDDN) Strategic Research Cluster was held at the School of Pharmacy in UCC on June, 17 th 2010. This one day conference brought together leading investigators from the IDDN with invited international speakers on the topic of novel advanced technologies and assessments of drug delivery.

Professor Brayden was the Director of an SFI Research Cluster grant (The Irish Drug Delivery Research Network), that was awarded 7.2 million euro by SFI from 2007-2013. He was the Deputy Coordinator of an EU 7th Framework grant on oral nanomedicines (www.TRANS-INT.eu), 2012-2017.

Her research focused on the oral delivery of novel mucoadhesive polymeric peptide conjugates. In 2007 she joined The Irish Drug Delivery Research Network funded by SFI research cluster award as Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellow where she gained expertise in the area of overcoming barriers for efficient delivery of peptides for oral, injectable and intra-articular delivery.
