Feb 21, 2016 · I have been sending emails from two other external accounts and receive these "mailbox unavailable" delivery failure notices for 6 days now, so it is not a temporary problem. I can still login to my outlook.com mail account, so it has not been "blocked" that way. The failure message contains:

Nov 29, 2017 · Unfortunately, when I returned to Thunderbird later and tried to send another message, it was back to "Request failed; Mailbox unavailable. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again." So far, we do not have a fix that works permanently.
