The Hilltop was 73 years old in July 2021! Hilltop was built in 1948 by Violet Mercer Anderson. The original menu had only three meat choices-ham, fried chicken, and steak. Linen tablecloths and glass water goblets were used. The waitstaff wore long white dresses and white dress shirts with bow ties. Many proms and special events were held at HT in the 1950's.

Hilltop one of the hidden jewels in Spencer!. We have been going to Hilltop for over 20 years. The new owners have brought the Hilltop back to its former glory days! New menu items are excellent, the Chopped Steak is an excellent addition to the menu. The Fried Chicken is extremely good, best guess its about 75% of what they sell!
