Hill Aerospace Museum is located on approximately 30 acres of the northwest corner of Hill Air Force Base, five miles south of Ogden, Utah. The Museum, which opened in 1986, was founded in 1981 as a part of the United States Air Force Heritage Program. The Utah Museum hosted its five millionth visitor in the fall of 2019.

It moved to its current facility in 1991. The museum annually welcomes around 350,000 visitors, coming from every state and many foreign countries. The base will observe Thanksgiving Thursday, Nov. 25, and an AFMC Family Day Friday, Nov. 26. Aerospace Museum: Closed Nov. 25 and open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 26.

There are five gates for Hill AFB. The Main (West) Gate, which is the location of the Visitor Center, and the South Gate are both open 24 hours. Roy Gate hours are M-F 0400-2000 and closed on weekends/holidays. The Southwest Gate is open twice daily, M-F: mornings 0600-0800 and evenings 1430-1700.
