There is a beautiful view of the bluffs and the water just a short walk behind the light. From end of May until mid October, the light is open from 10am~5pm, with the last climb being at 4:30pm. There are no restrooms at the actual lighthouse, but there are some at the Highland Museum (just a short walk away).

Twin Lights Historical Site was easily reached with the g p s address of 2 Lighthouse Rd. Highlands NJ 07732 The stairs leading up to the top of the tower become smaller at one point. My family felt the climb was worth it because the top view was refreshing to the eyes and the breeze felt nice on a July afternoon.
