Please avoid bringing your pets to any state parks as the tick population is extreme!!! Also to protect yourself wear a hat, stay out of grassy areas and wear long sleves and pants. This issue needs to be addressed immediately by the parks division. I did call and notify Hecksher State park of the problem on May 29, 2010.
