just a slight correction regarding the characters for delivery reports on O2 It's "*0# " including the space following the # not *#0. I am sure as you've been using this that it's just a typo but for the benefit of others looking for the information I though it best to correct it.

I seem to remember O2 doesn't support delivery reports even on phones that provide the option unless you use *0# - this might have changed, but that was certainly the case in 2005 - the built-in delivery report option on most phones did not work on O2

Hello @Anonymous, welcome to the O2 community! As @MI5 said, the ‘delivery report’ function is not supported on the O2 network. If you’d like to receive delivery reports, you can enter *0# followed by your text message and then send the message as you usually would. Please let us know how it goes

May 02, 2007 · Why do you have to enter these symbols to get delivery reports? The technology used by O2 for SMS delivery hasn't really been updated since its introduction in 1997. Other networks have updated their platforms so that delivery reports can be configured via handset menus.

This has been covered in the iphone technical thread. O2 do not support the delvery reports nativly you need to enter 3 digits before the txt of the sms I cannot remember now but if you search the iphone technical thread you will get the answer.
