Favorite Floats The Green River Daily. This 9-mile section of the Green River begins at Nefertiti Access Point, flows through Gray Canyon, and concludes at Swaseys Boat Ramp. Fantastic desert, canyon country scenery surrounds the entire float. A great run for first timers and families, it's mellow enough to include floating, paddling, and water play.

The scenery for camping is better in Section B. This section is slower and may take 4-6 hours to float depending on flows and how much rowing you’re willing to do. One of the nicest looking areas to camp is on river left just before entering Swallow Canyon. The Swallow Boat ramp is on the left just after leaving the towering walls of Swallow Canyon.

This is a nice stretch of river for a relaxing (mostly) summer float. Don't believe what some other reviews on the internet may say though, this is not at 2.5 hour float, but closer to 5 hour float. The stream is shallow at some points, so having a heavy duty tube with a mesh bottom helps (we saw several lightweight tubes discarded along the way), and there are a few …

Take two cars -- leave one in the small gravel lot near the SR18 bridge and then continue on to Flaming Geyser in the other car. The float from Flaming Geyser to the SR18 bridge takes about 2.5 hours. It's too far to walk back to Flaming Geyser with your tubes, which is why you need the second car at the end.

2. Okanogan River. George Wesley & Bonita Dannells / Flickr. The best place to begin a float down the Okanogan River is at the Omak Stampede Grounds at 421 Stampede Drive East. You'll float for about 2 or 3 hours before reaching the SR97 bridge, which is a great place to finish. 3. Green River.

) that proposed a 2-3 hour float from FGSP to Highway 18. We got in about 2pm on 8/2. The Green River is supposed to be good for tubing July-August. FGSP was very crowded all along the river until Whitney Bridge Park. It was basically a huge Covid party. We did our best to socially distance and float through.
