1 review of Frost Mountain Yurts "If someone asks you to join them at Frost Mountain Yurts I can't imagine why you would say "No." My first winter in Maine, about 12 years ago, I went here for a birthday. We stayed at the "Mountain View" yurt, which is about a half mile walk along a nice trail. They supply you with carts in the non snow season and sled during the snowy season.

Round trip time: about 1 ½ hours Elevation: 958 feet. Difficulty: mostly easy except for one steep section at the top The Scoop: Not a high mountain but the view from this bald granite summit is absolutely spectacular and comparable to all the taller peaks.

Great weekend at Frost Mountain Yurts. We have stayed in yurts at other places and Frost Mountain's was the biggest and nicest we have rented so far. The woodstove kept us warm and toasty in spite of it being MINUS 5 degrees the first night we were there. The cookstove was excellent and the kitchen items were all of very good quality.

Frost Mountain Yurts. March 25, 2020 ·. We are getting a lot of inquiries regarding if we are open or not. So, we thought we should announce that we are still open and operating fully. We are cleaning vigilantly with bleach and airing the yurts out b/w guests. We feel lucky to be able to offer a place away from it all right now.
