When calculating for the outbound flight to Italy this fall, keep in mind that, although there usually is a 6-hour time difference between the US and Italy, there is a one week interval when the difference is five hours. Europe does the 2021 "fall back" to standard time in the early AM of Sunday, October 31.

The 48 hours is in reference to the 'green pass/ EU digital covid certificate pass etc. Prior to Aug. 31st (today) all you needed to get in to Italy was this "green pass/EU pass" or equivalent. In order to obtain this you needed either 1. vaccination that qualified, 2. negative test within 48 hours or 3. proof that you had covid and obtained certificate for that immunity.

Of course, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum are incredible sites to be seen, and hours could be spent talking about the history of those two sites alone. I was disappointed, however, with the tour itself. We were led out of the facility to stop by the colloseum, then met by another tour guide and another group of tourists 10 minutes later.
