The Ferry tours launch out to two different points. One is Patriot's Point in Mount Pleasant and the other is Liberty Square in Charleston. SpiritLine Cruises is the name of the Ferry line that takes you to the fort and back. The ferry ride is about 45 minutes out, one hour in the fort and another 45 minutes back.

#1 - disregard some of the CRUDE / RUDE comments from some people commenting about cost to take the trip to Fort Sumter - even for a family of 4 or 5. This is run by the National Park Service (federal government) and you do take a tour boat out into Charleston Harbor to Fort Sumter.
