I managed to get a great retentions deal with Fido. The guy I talked to was really upfront; said that essentially they calculate the value of the perks they're giving you and it's not supposed to exceed ~$400 over the life of the contract. (So say they're giving you a $10-rebate a month X 24 month contract, they calculate that as $240.)
