Said my package was on a FedEx vehicle for delivery, waiting all afternoon for it because it is quite pricey and I didn't want it left out somewhere unattended for too long.. and then at 8:03 PM the package status changes to a Delivery Exception with the note "Local delivery restriction, delivery not attempted.". Feb 24, 2018 · I believe that Fedex is the worst because in some markets they use a form of what must be something like indentured labor…mostly as Fedex Home Delivery operators, I believe. They will often do pass bys or drive bys and if they see no lights on at the address, they count it as an attempted delivery assuming that there is nobody to accept delivery.

I have the same opinion of FedEx based on many ridiculous excuses like this latest one: 'Delivery exception - Local weather delay - Delivery not attempted'. The package was on the truck before 6am and this noticed wasn't sent until after 5pm. There was no weather warnings in affect all day. They try to cover their incompetence with lies.
