Dec 15, 2017 · The FedEx system is automated so that once your shipment misses the estimated delivery date, the status changes to “pending” rather than a more explanatory “missed the delivery date”. FedEx is generally under no legal obligation to make their promised delivery date, so unless you have a specific contract saying otherwise, you just have to wait.

Dec 07, 2015 · I called FedEx and got told they are getting slammed for the holidays and they couldn't guarantee delivery dates, so when something slips they just mark it as pending. In my case, I guess the delivery driver still managed to bring it by.

Mar 01, 2017 · Fedex Delivery Status Changing from Today to "Pending" So I ordered the M carbon fiber and alcantara trim online and it said it was going to be delivered and current tracking status is "on fedex vehicle for delivery" but just now the delivery date changed to "pending" and it states "No scheduled delivery date available at this time."

Thank you for the fast reply. I have been looking at the FedEx tracking and the package left Indianapolis and then seems to disappear. The "expected" delivery date has past and FedEx changed the date to "Pending" and "No scheduled delivery date available at this time". I don't usually use FedEx so I don't know what to expect.
FedEx allegedly had my package on a truck for delivery the last two days, but then I got an email both days stating "delivery exception. no attempt made. delivery scheduled for next business day." It won't let me change anything in manage delivery when I try to "hold at location" for pickup.
