I recently purchased a computer online and was given one estimated delivery date from the merchant and another from FedEx. I have no clue which one will be the correct date.

If you can't be around, you can always call FedEx and tell them to hold it for you at the distribution facility, then pick it up yourself after 5. That's what I did for my wife's iBook. It beat taking the day off to try and out-guess the delivery truck.

"Fedex is very accurate & dependable." For sure! The Fedex dude never misses the puddle in the driveway when he tosses my packages off his truck! I find that summertime delivery predictions are much more accurate than in winter. Weather and holiday rush make things less certain, especially for ground shipments that have to cross mountain passes.

Jul 13, 2005 · I'd appreciate if you could tell me if you've noticed in the past if your shipment's estimated date changed after a day or so. It is still likely I can get the shipment Friday, I'm sure the date I've been given right now is just their required delivery time.
