Aug 21, 2010 · FairFx have taken an "it's all in the terms and conditions" approach unfortunately which is a shame because, as reported earlier, delivery is quick, the exchange rate is good, loading the card is easy, and it's safer than carrying cash.

If you're not at home to sign for your order, it will be taken back to your local Royal Mail delivery office and a 'Whilst you were out’ card will be left informing you where it is. Once the card has been left you can either collect your order from your local delivery office or arrange re-delivery for when you are at home.

I contacted FairFX to explain that my card was not being accepted by the hotel and asking for this to be resolved. Despite my email,some 12 hours or so later- allowing for differing time zones- FairFX saw fit to send me an email informing me of this ‘unusual activity’ and telling me that my card was now blocked.2.8/5(46)
