Opening July 10, 2021 – Diorama-Rama! In recognition of the 200th anniversary of the invention of the diorama, the Evanston History Center will showcase the historic dioramas in our collection. The exhibit combines dioramas with related media such as building models and art, including a beautifully woven tapestry panorama of Evanston.

Hours. The Research Room will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday between 1 and 4 pm. A maximum of 6 people will be allowed in the Research Room on any given day. We reserve the right to restrict the number of people allowed. The Research Room will begin the closing process at 3:45 pm.

The house is located in a beautiful area in Evanston full of huge houses and landscaped lawns. There are tours of the first floor of the house from 1-4pm on Sundays. The tours are on each hour (1, 2, 3). The second floor contains some exhibits.
