19 reviews of Potterrow "This is Edinburgh unis biggest student union. During the day it has a nice cafe and uni shop downstairs, with the occasional poster sale upstairs. Comee night time, the 'dome' downstairs becomes an open bar area and upstairs the dance floor - blasting out anything from 70s and 80s music, cheese (saturday nights) or more up to date tunes.

Normally we are open 9.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday in semester time for "Open Space", with tea and coffee available in the kitchen (donations appreciated, suggested donation 25p per hot drink). Many societies book the space in the evening - usually these events run between 5pm and 9pm. The Centre is a very popular place for people to meet.
