The Erebuni Museum and the fortress in Yerevan are great places to visit when you are in the capital city. We did the tour with friends recently, the fortress walls would have been massive, the site is ruins as it is about 2800 years old now but the archaeological preservation is excellent here and they have made many valuable finds here since they started digging.
