On our recent trip in Thailand, we visited Erawan Falls National Park located a few hours outside of Bangkok. We opted to do this on our own vs. going on a tour as the group tours can cost you upwards of $150 USD per person (which I am very happy we didn't spend).4.5/5(2.3K)

Our motorcycle ride from Kanchanaburi to Erawan (named after the 3-headed white elephant Hindu deity) National Park Waterfall took us about 2 hours. Since this was a National park, there was a 200B Entrance fee per person and 20B per motorcycle; charged upon entry.

Erawan National park is open every day from 8.00am till 4.30pm. Park rangers start cleaning the waterfall from the 7th tier down at around 3.00pm and will ask people to leave the top levels at that time. The entrance fee for foreigners is THB300 (THB200 for kids).
