Normally this Ferry runs 24/7 most of the year. This year however the completion work for the land ramps keeps getting pushed further down the year. The latest is October. If you are here in 2019 here's hoping it is working. $7 (as of 2018) one way. You can buy a book of tickets which lowers each crossing to $3.50 a time.

The ferry runs 24/7 all year, except when the wind is too high or there is ice in the Bay (“the Bay” is the inner-harbour part of St Ann’s Bay, to the west of the ferry’s channel). Service is not reliable in winter, but it’s really important to the community, particularly in connecting Englishtown to the rest of us, and in shortening the drive for emergency situations and fuel economy.

While I don't know too much about the wait times at the ferry (I would say it really depends on the day and what events are going on), I can tell you that the ferry does run 24h a day and costs $5.25. It's a cable ferry that runs on demand. Hope this information helps, Cheers, Fiona
