Aug 10, 2012 · Exchange is already writing a ton of log files to disk. My opinion is that a server would already need to be overloaded for protocol logging to contribute to the issue. SMTP protocol log settings have max age and max directory size thresholds you can set to ensure that logs don’t grow forever and consume all available disk space.
