Running Exchange 2003 sp2 on Windows 2003 SP2. Yesterday we started getting e-mails about 25 minutes behind when they were sent. It doesn't matter if they're sent from an outside address or internal address they both are delayed the same.

Some users were reporting that they were not getting messages that they were expecting so we checked and seen that there are some messages stuck in the Local Delivery queue in Exchange 2003. The emails are mostly from internal users sending to other internal users however there are a few external emails that are stuck in there also.

Jul 12, 2013 · hi, my exchange local delivery Q alway backed up with 2-4 times each day, i had to stop the default smtp virtual server and stop the smtp services and start both back up to get mail flowing again, sometimes i have to end inetinfo.exe in task manager to bring the smtp services down. this is a constant headache. can anyone help.
