Feb 05, 2019 · I guess someone that only expects to keep a car for two years and low mileage probably has no overwhelming reason to care about the break in period. I bought my Boxster and intend to enjoy it as a daily driver for more than two years so I reasonably, albeit not 100% perfectly, abided by the 2000 mile max 4000 RPM specified in the manual.

jag98, I know that BMW has a European Delivery program that allows consumers to arrange European delivery of an American spec vehicle, and eventually bring it back to this country. BMW's official Euro delivery program does provide a discount off of U.S. prices. This does not sound like the sort of arrangement that you were writing about, though.
