Dec 27, 2011 · The Bill requires public authorities to deliver all public services electronically within a maximum period of eight years. There are two exceptions to this requirement: (a) services that cannot be delivered electronically; and (b) services that public authorities, in consultation with the Commissions, decide not to deliver electronically.

5 1. (1) This Act may be called the Electronic Delivery of Services Act, 2011. (2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. 10 commencement of this Act shall, in relation to any State, be construed as a reference to coming into force of that provision in that State.
