So worried!!! 10,5 hours sleep & woke with dry nappy!!! Not sure what to think! Lucia is 10 weeks old, ebf & perfectly healthy. Then yesterday out of the blue (no illness, no jabs) she fell asleep a bit before 7pm (fed 6-6:30, like I said she is ebf & weighs 12lbs11oz). We thought it will be a cat nap, since she skipped her long afternoon nap.

Thanks Alice, checked signs for dehydration and don't think she has any of them signs, had a browse around and a lot of people's babies don't wee much when there asleep.

My dd also has dry nappies in the morning - every morning!! And has done since she was about 5 mo. However after about 10 mins of waking up she has an enormous wee and the nappy is bulging. HV told me to leave nappy off at night - but no way as if she wakes up before I thought she was and I don't get there the nappy is full IYSWIM.

We EC (elimination communicate--diaper free) and I am on a yahoo forum for it and this is a frequent discussion. It seems from 4 months on its possible, even in babies who continue to nurse during the night, some even protesting if offered the potty. Mine is not there yet, we stay clean and dry but visit the potty 4-5 times a night.

Posts: 247. 3 month old dry diaper for over 5 hours. I hope someone has heard of this before - If so, please help. Yesterday I picked my three month old up from daycare and the caregiver said that she was surprised that she had a dry diaper after the two hour check. But, then 30 minutes later she had wet once. So, I kept my eye on it last night.
