I never would have found Ted Drewes on my own and we ended up going here twice in 12 hours (disclaimer: I'm 7 months pregnant but I probably would have gone twice even if I wasn't). I was a bit intimidated watching all of the regulars order their concretes with confidence and was nervous about holding up the line.
Ted Drewes has been selling frozen custard for over 80 years and Christmas trees for over 50 years. His attention to quality has set the standard for frozen custard and Christmas trees in St. Louis. It all started with Ted Drewes Sr., who was a St. Louis attraction, winning the Muny Tennis Championships each year from 1925 to 1936.
