The top of Double Peak is 1600 feet so it's about a 1000 feet of elevation over 2 miles. So round trip is about 4 miles. The trails are well maintained and if you go in the late afternoon, it maybe shaded. Double Peak park is an excellent place to watch the sunset and you can drive up there and park in the lot.

The 10K loop is moderate with some hills and just enough for the novice runner. This is an excellent trail head for Double Peak Park for beginner & intermediates hikers. The total loop to DP park is 5 miles. There is lots of parking, good clean restrooms, water and a couple picnic tables for eating.
