Domaine Pouillon's wines are an expression of the fruit and the winemaker's art. While the wines can be aged, they're almost impossible to resist now. Most are released three or four years after the vintage. One exception, however, was a 2012 merlot. If other winemakers follow Alexis' lead, merlot can become a wine worth drinking again.
