The rock formations are awesome and there is a bridge across the top of the Waterfall. I was able to get some great photos from the base of the rocks and the waterfall. The park was a little dead today but it was early about 10am.

The only downside to this campground would be the lack of showers and restrooms, they are with the swimming pool and only open during the hours of 11:30 - 5:30. We camped at Dixon Springs State Park in a Fifth Wheel. Read More Read Less.

Dixon Springs State Park is located in Pope County, just 30 miles south of Harrisburg, IL, or 20 miles north of Paducah, Ky. To reach Dixon Springs State Park from I-24 traveling East, take exit #16 to Rt. 146. At the stop sign turn left and the park is 13 miles on the left. If you are traveling West on I-24 you take exit #16 to Rt. 146.
