2 hours before sunset is a good time to go. The trail is about 4miles loop from the Stanford gate. The path starts out rather steep and it is definitely quite a hike up to the dish. From the dish, you can choose to turn around go and back the way you came from (shorter hike) or do the entire loop which is another 2+ miles.4/5(481)
