The starting point at Diamond Head Monument was 45-60 minutes walk from our beach front hotel in central Waikiki. The parking lot was full when we got there at 9:39 so good thing we walked. Later at noon there was lots of space. We stood in line to pay the $5 per hiker, credit card only, used the restroom, drank some water and started up.
