Ready reserve these days is part time employees who work 20-25 hours per week for a max of 1,400 hours per year. They get flight benefits, a 401k which DL puts an automatic 3% into (they didn’t match when that rolled out and AFAIK that’s still the case).

Delta Employee. When I was a seasonal ~10 years ago, the shifts were basically 6:15am to 2:45pm or 2:45pm to 10:15pm. There were some sweeper shifts that were a little earlier or later (like 5:30am to 2pm or 3:30pm to 12am), but it was basically 8 hour shifts and a 30 min unpaid lunch.

That 1300 hrs per year is the max that you can work as an RR and the 300 is they minimum amount of hours that you have to work. The Ready Reserve program is a way in the door at DL.

Asked April 8, 2017. You get benefits 1st day you sign but they advise you during training wait until the last day. I advise after 30 days to get acquainted with schedule. Start off small local places close to home , then go farther later on. Answered June 26, 2019.

At the time Ready Reserve was 5 hours 5 days a week. It would be nicer if it was either full-time 8 hour days less days a week or just a full 8 hour 5 days a week. Having the extra commute days with a short shift just costs extra money.

Hellooo. I'm currently RR at Delta AirLines (ramp agent). It's been suggested to me to go work for Southwest by a couple full-time Delta employees. Ready Reserve means I get no benefits and there is a cap of 1400 hours per year.
