The battery charges without excess heat and the life of the battery is good. The battery lasts about 4 hours of continuous use which is on par with original Dell battery. I will post another review 6 months later to report if the battery life still maintains.

Based on my calculations the Dell e4200 with a total of 14 cells ofbattery would likely last about 13 hours, a decent battery life to besure but a far cry from the 16 hours that Dell is claiming. It's amazing. The only thing I'm not fully in love with is the battery life I get. After a full charge I tend to get about 1-2 hours, 3 hours tops if i'm only emailing.
