Let your deck dry for a couple of days before applying a sealer or stain. For our deck railing, we applied a semitransparent oil stain mixed to match the siding of the house. We brushed it on (Photo 8) and carefully cut in around the deck boards. We didn't want a colored stain on the deck boards, so we applied a clear finish/sealer (Photo 9).

Deck Revive does not do as it claims. Will not fill in cracks unless you use a large amount with a brush which is not what the application process is and then would take hours on hours and by then the product would harden as you only have about 1.5 hours per 5 gallon container before it sets up so much that you cannot use.

I plan to add 1 coat of deck revive, tinted the same color as before, to all of the flat surfaces. Before doing so, I will power wash and plan to clean out and fill the former gaps with permanent fill. The plan is: power wash, wait minimum of 48 hours to dry, fill gaps with permanent fill, paint with deck revive.
