Interesting how brutal they went to work on those Reds, but even looking past the political aspects of Dangerous Hours (1919) this is a very lively film with wonderful use of shadow, filled with tension and a spectacular destructive ending finishing off with the good old American tradition of tar and feathers! I know many will be turned off by the propaganda, but try and look at it as a straight good guy/bad guy …
