The Copy Service can only supply scans from books and journals held within Durham University Library. If you want something which is not held in Durham then you can request it from another university library via the Document Delivery Service. Articles can be delivered to your email, or to the postal address selected on the request form.

Postage charges apply to retention photocopies only. The Library will not post books borrowed on DDS to readers. Renewal Charges. Many books can be renewed free of charge, however renewals for books borrowed from the British Library's Document Supply Centre (BLDSC) cost of £2.00 per item.

Services During Evenings and Weekends in the Main Library . The Main University Library is open for at least 89½ hours each week in term-time and for 64 hours per week during vacations. Full services are available 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, Monday - Friday, when demand is highest.
